Our story
We are YBS Kids
In 2019, our nonprofit organization decided it was time for our young children in suburban communities to hear and discover their rich heritage. Our children are missing the essence of culture and unity in today's society, so educating our children through diversity is more important than ever. That is why we ultimately decided to launch YBS Kids.
YBS Kids teaches children from all socio-economic groups about their rich history and the history of different cultures--which helps them create a more active social life, an essential part of a child's development. Here at YBS Kids, children and youth will gain cultural knowledge and necessary life skills. This knowledge helps build character and enables our young, Black, suburban kids to believe and value what makes them exceptional, confident, and proud.
